About Simon Mannion - Award-Winning Executive Creative Director

I’ll be honest, this wasn’t my first career choice. But ever since I was dropped from the school football team after my very first match, it was clear I’d have to find another calling in life.

And so began my journey in advertising. After working at a number of blue-chip agencies I became one of the core early members of Iris, and over the next 10+ years, helped turn a London office of 40 people into a 1000+ global network.

A multi-platformed, multi-award winning creative leader, I’ve built departments, nurtured countless teams and developed long-lasting senior client relationships.

I’ve overseen global campaigns, created new brands, prompted record sales and embraced tech to reach audiences in unique ways. As creative lead for some of the world’s leading brands, I’ve had the opportunity to create work that’s been loved by everyone – from mums, kids and Gen Z to Cannes, Clio and D&AD.

My love for all things creative extends outside the office, writing children’s books, a music blog and as a mentor for the School of Communication Arts and D&AD, plus a lecturer for Speakers For Schools.

To date, I have yet to be recognised for my efforts in the world of football.
